Sharing and having fun at Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Fun |
I love holiday time, because we can spend time together just taking a little break. We all work hard so
its fun to see each other. These were my favorite photos starting at left this is a picture of Rachel and
Olivia. They are cousins, of course, and they were feeding the dog and drawing their favorite pictures.
We had a lot of fun things going on for all of us. The next picture is Dave and Jake playing ping pong.
Dave is my brother and Jake, my cousin. The ping pong matches are the most exciting. I love playing
ping pong. The third picture is Dave's wife, Rachel. In this picture we were all sitting down talking
after eating. This is the time when we talk about what were up to and how we are all doing. Everyone
talks about things and how they are doing. We learn and help each other. We don't forget to laugh
and kick back to. This year our parents encouraged us and we talked about what we were thankful
for. My mom started this tradition so we would be grateful and have joy while we all work hard at
what were doing. Some of us older kids help the younger ones draw and play games. The last picture
is a tradition Rachel and mom started where we all go together to get our trees. We had a lot of fun.
We lost each other looking and my brother started playing marco-polo to find us. We bring hot
chocolate and dress warm so we can find the perfect tree. The guys love that ha ha!
So, these are my favorite pictures, because it shows us that Jesus wants us to take that time to
spend time and have those fun breaks with our family. My family is very close, because we feel
family is our gift from God. I'm so thankful for my mom and dad, because they have showed us
that being a family and loving and helping each other is very important. We encourage each other
to do well and work hard. So, can you guess what I was thankful for? Your right my awesome brothers,
all my cousins, and my mom and dad. Hope you had a fun time with family and were thankful you
got to be together! Now, at Christmas we like to do community service to help other people. We are planning what we will do now. This is my Thanksgiving story! Love Sarah

Portrait photo of Bruno
Come run with me! |
I chose this photo because I wanted something different for a portrait picture. Of course one of my favorite things to photo is my dog. I wanted to use this area in my yard, because I liked using the leaves
as a background. I made Bruno pop out more. I took it being up on the swing set so I could get a birds eye view more. I was happy how this turned out.
I like it because animals make you happy. Its fun to photograph pets! I tried to get some shadow around his face. I was glad to find a spot that had natural lighting with fun background. I like how I got it when he was looking out. I like to capture pictures while people are doing things so I pick this and got Bruno while playing around outside.
I hope this makes people feel like that is a neat photo
to do with animals.
Max in action
Max having fun at our house |
this place because it is favorite place and I liked how the background was light, but dark right behind
him. I used natural lighting for background. This picture I think makes people feel good watching Max
have fun while I watched him. I think it helps people remember to stop and just have fun outdoors while
babysitting. I chose this one because I think it was a good picture. We talked about where a great place
to pose this caught us because he likes to come over and hang out at our house. I chose to center because
it was a better picture putting background in.

My family and I were walking in the woods by our house. I decided to take a picture of my mom.I chose this background because the background light made my mom stand out. I chose this picture because I love spending time with my family and having fun together. I learned how to edit photos better and I like how this picture turn out. This pictures give a calm soft feel. It will remind me of the memory of time with family my brothers come home to visit. I love family and friend photos for portrait. The natural background lighting helped enhance the photo.

IMA Rule of Thirds Picture of a Garden
This was taken at the IMA. In this photo, it is an example of the beautiful gardens
they design at IMA. You can see how they use different colors, heigths and textures
to make it all come together. The circle they place it is and lifting it up is a neat design.
I chose this photo for an example of rule of thirds and the gardens were one of my favorite
scenes. I like how the lighting helped to bring out colors. I see repetition in their designs.I like to
help to think of things to deign in our yard so these gardens were new ideas of things.
I hope anyone who sees this photo would think that is a good picture and a cool garden. This photo
surprised me that you were able to get the detail in the plants. I loved going to IMA and its
full of neat things to take photos of.

IMA Rule of Thirds
In this image a flower is emphasized and zoomed in on. I like getting flowers up close so
you can see the details of the petals and the rest is fading background. The pictures shows
how the flowers are shaded and every texture. It gives different colors of orange and life. This caught
my eye as I learned how neat it is to take items and zoom real close. I learned to do this at our IMA trip.
I like doing this with flowers, insects and people. I learned about different ways you can zoom to add
details to photos. This is a good example of rule of thirds.

Back Lighting
Washington DC. We liked how the lighted background made a shadow on my dad and brought out the details. I liked that I could find a place that looked like a
park but we were in the city. This was the meddle of the afternoon and we were sight seeing. I liked how
the lighting made it look like it was two different pictures and helped my dad stand out in a big open place. I feel this was a good example of back lighting as we were visiting D.C.
I think back lighting is a capture the moment type picture and it is cool to see.
Back Lighting
In this image the light is in the background shining through to make the trees pop.
I was outside and thought isn't that neat how the sun is bringing light and
the neat shadow you get and the trees pop out. I thought it was cool and peaceful.
It was a time when the sun starting to go down and brought a neat shadow.
The trees would not have stood out with details without the light.
